A Daily Plan Helps You Make Time for What Matters

Choose the important tasks, set aside time to handle them and review at the end of the day to stay in control of your progress.

Daily Plan & the Focus Button

Choosing the right priorities, setting aside a focus block and reviewing progress helps important work keep moving amid everything else that comes up.

Small tasks can swallow an entire day

In the morning, you plan to finish a project plan. Then come messages to answer, documents to find and an unplanned meeting. By the end of the day you've handled plenty, yet the plan is still at the top of your list.

A long list doesn't necessarily tell you what to do first. What needs to be clear is which task will make the most important progress today and when you'll set time aside for it.

Choose your priorities before you start

The Daily Plan in DearPulse lets users pick their important tasks from the Tasks module. Instead of working through every item in order, you decide which tasks need to move forward today and have a clear place to start.

You can pick a few priorities that fit your real schedule. For example, a salesperson needs to finish a quote, call back a customer and update records after a consultation. The quote, which needs careful work, gets its own dedicated block, while short conversations can be fitted in around it.

In the video, the “Focus” button is introduced as part of the flow of choosing a task and starting to work on it. The point of this action is to direct your attention to the chosen task. To make that time count, users should also prepare materials, clarify the expected output and proactively schedule related conversations.

Match priorities to the right time of day

If your data shows you usually focus best during a certain time slot, you can reserve it for work that needs deep thinking. Shorter tasks or frequent conversations can go in slots that suit their nature.

For example, instead of opening a proposal and constantly switching to chat, set aside a block to finish the analysis section. When it ends, check what you've achieved and handle the conversations that came up.

Review what you completed at the end of the day

DearPulse lets you mark tasks “Done” or “Move to tomorrow” in the Daily Plan. Reviewing helps you update progress and notice which tasks keep getting pushed back.

If a task is never finished, it may need to be broken down, supplemented with information or have its priority renegotiated. The Daily Plan is valuable when it helps you understand what you can realistically get done and organize the next day more sensibly.
